Anxiety
Experiencing anxiety is a typical part of life. However, for some people, when anxiety becomes more severe, it can negatively impact everyday life and get in the way of people feeling successful at work, home, or school. Anxiety can be broken down into more specific categories of Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety, Panic Disorder, and Specific Phobias.
Trauma & PTSD
A traumatic experience happens when a person experiences an event where their life is put at risk or in danger, the lives around them are at risk, or a family member or friend experiences an event like this. Trauma shows up in different ways for everyone who experiences it, and for some people can develop into Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) which is characterized by symptoms that impact a person’s ability to function in daily living.
Addiction
Addictions come in many shapes and forms like a substance use disorder or addiction to gambling, sex, shopping, etc. Something becomes an addiction when there is a loss of control over the behavior and it becomes compulsive.
